Notes and Wallpapers from Citi as the Mets snap the 12 game skid
Finally… the monkey is off our back. For a 12 game skid the fans were surpislingly positive and vocal. I guess only the optimisitc sickos like myself are showing up to Citi when the team has lost 12 in a row. The guy behind me was relentless with his compliments… “Keep your head up Vientos! Easy contact!”.
Tickets were a little cheaper given the circumstances so I splurged a little bit for some seats by the on deck circle.
There was a dude in front of me with “break the curse” hand written on a piece of printer paper (pictured below). Mr. Met came on by and ripped it up, crumpled it into a ball, and walked away. Buxton homered to tie the game on the next pitch. Mr. Met then realized what he had done, came back, and returned the sign. The fan then did his best to piece it back together and hold it up the rest of the game. We then won the game. Thank you to that fan for your resolve.
Here’s what I got…

Said interaction between the fan and Mr. Met
Mark Vientos living life on his own accord. Respect. Third base coach’s smirk is killing me lol.
Up close and personal with Juan.
Dont stop…
